Cookie policy
How liflor.nc uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you stay in control.
About this policy
This cookie policy explains how the liflor.nc website (the "Site") uses cookies and similar technologies while you browse. It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle the personal data collected through our contact and quote request forms (name, company, email, message, country), sent by email through our provider SendGrid. The Site has no customer accounts, no online sales and no newsletter.
The Site is published by:

The Site was built by Site Internet NC (siteinternet.nc) and is hosted in New Caledonia by Stratos NC (Pacific Consulting group).
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that may be stored, subject to your choices, in a dedicated area of your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) when you visit a website. It is sent by the site's server to your browser and allows its issuer to recognise your device for as long as the cookie remains valid. A cookie does not, by itself, identify a natural person.
Similar technologies are treated in the same way as cookies, in particular local storage ("localStorage"): an area of your browser where a website can save information that stays on your device, with no automatic expiry date, and that is not sent to servers with each request. This is the technology — not a cookie — that the Site uses to remember your consent preferences.
The Site deliberately keeps its use of these technologies to a minimum: it sets no cookies of its own in the strict sense, and its fonts are self-hosted (no requests are made to remote services such as Google Fonts).
Cookies and trackers used on liflor.nc
Trackers fall into three categories: necessary, statistics and marketing. For each category, the detailed list below shows what is used (name, purpose, duration).
Necessary trackers
These items are essential for the Site to work and for your choices to be honoured. They do not require your consent and cannot be switched off from the cookie management window.
- Name: liflor_cookie_preferences · Type: local storage entry (localStorage) — technically not a cookie · Purpose: remembers your consent choices for the three categories (necessary, statistics, marketing) · Duration: 6 months at most, or until you clear your browser's site data.
No other necessary trackers (session cookies or otherwise) are currently set.
Statistics trackers
This category would cover audience measurement cookies (number of visits, pages viewed, and so on). To date, no analytics tool is active on the Site: the category appears in the consent window as a precaution. If an audience measurement tool were ever installed, the list below would be updated and your consent obtained before anything is set.
- None — no statistics cookies or trackers are currently set.
Marketing trackers
This category would cover advertising or personalisation cookies. To date, no marketing tool is active on the Site: here again, the category exists only as a precaution, and the list would be updated — with your prior consent obtained — before anything is activated.
- None — no marketing cookies or trackers are currently set.
Should consent-based cookies ever be used in the future, their lifespan would not exceed thirteen (13) months, in line with the applicable recommendations.
Managing your consent
When you first visit the Site, a consent window appears. It offers three buttons of equal prominence, letting you either accept all trackers, refuse them all, or fine-tune your preferences category by category. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and simply continuing to browse does not count as consent.
Your choice — whether you accept or refuse — is saved in your browser's local storage under the key liflor_cookie_preferences. This entry contains only your preferences for the three categories; it holds no personal data, stays on your device and is never sent to any server.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time: either by reopening the cookie management window from the Site, or by clearing the Site's data in your browser (the consent window will then appear again on your next visit).
How long your consent remains valid
Your choice is kept for a maximum of six (6) months. Once this period has elapsed, or if you have cleared your device's browsing data, the consent window will be shown again so that an up-to-date choice can be recorded. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without having to give a reason.
Third-party content: the OpenStreetMap map
The Site's Contact page embeds an interactive OpenStreetMap map via an iframe. When the map is displayed, your browser connects to the OpenStreetMap servers (openstreetmap.org), which then receive your IP address and may set their own cookies, under their sole responsibility. Use of this service is governed by the OpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy (osmfoundation.org), which we encourage you to read. LIFLOR cannot be held responsible for this third party's privacy practices.
Apart from this map, the Site embeds no third-party content: no social media buttons, no third-party hosted videos and no remote fonts (all fonts are self-hosted).
Configuring your browser
Independently of the Site's consent window, you can configure your browser to limit or block cookies: be warned before any cookie is set, refuse certain types of cookies or all of them, and delete cookies and site data already stored. Note that deleting "site data" also erases the local record of your consent (liflor_cookie_preferences), so you will be asked to choose again. Blocking cookies does not affect your browsing on liflor.nc, which sets none of its own, but it may affect how other websites work.
To do so, follow the instructions for your browser:

Legal framework and your rights
This policy is issued under French Act no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on information technology, data files and civil liberties (the "Informatique et Libertés" Act), as applicable in New Caledonia, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to the extent that it applies in New Caledonia.
The trackers described in this policy are not used to collect personal data for commercial purposes. The only personal data collected on the Site comes through the contact and quote request forms; how it is processed is detailed in our Privacy Policy. For any question about cookies, or to exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, objection), you can contact LIFLOR:

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL: https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes
Updates to this policy
LIFLOR may amend or supplement this cookie policy at any time, in particular to reflect legal, regulatory, case-law or technical developments (for example, the activation of an audience measurement tool). In that case, the update date will be clearly shown at the top of this page and, if any new consent-based tracker were introduced, your consent would be sought again. We encourage you to check this page regularly.
