The purpose of the website www.liflor.nc is to provide information about all of LIFLOR's activities and to enable visitors to get in touch, in particular for enquiries and quotation requests. The site offers no online sales, no customer accounts and no newsletter sign-up.

LIFLOR endeavours to ensure that the information published on the site is as accurate as possible. It cannot, however, be held liable for any omissions, inaccuracies or failures to update, whether attributable to LIFLOR or to third-party partners supplying that information.

All information on www.liflor.nc is provided for guidance only and may change over time. The information on the site is, moreover, not exhaustive, and is given subject to any changes made since it was put online.

5. Contractual limitations on technical data

The website www.liflor.nc uses JavaScript technology as well as the browser's local storage (localStorage), in particular to remember the user's cookie preferences (see section 9, 'Cookies and local storage').

The site cannot be held liable for material damage connected with its use. Users further undertake to access the site using recent, virus-free equipment and an up-to-date, latest-generation browser.

Nor can LIFLOR be held liable for indirect damage (such as, for example, loss of business or loss of opportunity) arising from the use of www.liflor.nc.

Interactive features (contact and quotation request forms) are made available to users. LIFLOR reserves the right to disregard and delete, without prior formal notice, any content submitted through these forms that would breach the legislation applicable in New Caledonia, in particular the provisions relating to data protection.

Data collected on the site

The website www.liflor.nc collects personal data solely through its contact and quotation request forms. The data collected is as follows: name, company, email address, message and country. The site has no customer accounts, no online sales and no newsletter: no other data is collected for commercial purposes.

Purposes and recipients

This information is used solely to respond to users' enquiries. It is forwarded to LIFLOR by email; the technical delivery of these emails is handled by the service provider SendGrid. Users provide this information knowingly, in particular when they enter it themselves.

LIFLOR does not publish, exchange, transfer, assign or sell the personal information of users of www.liflor.nc to third parties on any medium whatsoever. Only in the event of an acquisition of LIFLOR and its rights could such information be passed to the prospective purchaser, who would in turn be bound by the same obligation of safekeeping and protection.

Your rights

In accordance with Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 and the GDPR, every user has the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the processing of personal data concerning them. These rights may be exercised by email to secretariat-liflor@outlook.fr or by post addressed to LIFLOR, Tribu de Chépénéhé, District de Wetr, 98820 Lifou, New Caledonia.

Written requests must include:

  • a copy of an identity document;
  • the signature of the document holder;
  • the address to which the reply should be sent.

Databases are protected by the provisions of the French Act of 1 July 1998 transposing Directive 96/9 of 11 March 1996 on the legal protection of databases.

9. Cookies and local storage

A cookie is a small file stored on the user's device while browsing; it does not identify the user, but records information relating to the browsing of a site.

The website www.liflor.nc does not currently use any audience-measurement (analytics) or marketing tools. LIFLOR therefore sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Consent management

The user's cookie choices (for the 'necessary', 'statistics' and 'marketing' categories) are collected via the consent banner and kept locally in the browser's local storage (localStorage), under the key liflor_cookie_preferences. This information remains on the user's device and can be changed or deleted at any time, in particular by clearing the browser's browsing data.

Embedded third-party content

The contact page embeds an OpenStreetMap map by means of an iframe. Displaying this map involves a connection to OpenStreetMap's servers, which may as a result receive technical information such as the user's IP address. Users are invited to consult OpenStreetMap's privacy policy for further information.

Fonts

The fonts used on the site are self-hosted: no calls are made to remote font services (such as Google Fonts) and no data is transmitted to third parties in this respect.

Users may also configure their browser to block cookies; since the site sets no analytics or marketing cookies, blocking them does not prevent the pages from being viewed.

10. Hyperlinks

The website www.liflor.nc may contain hyperlinks to other websites, placed with the authorisation of the publication management. LIFLOR has, however, no means of checking the content of the sites visited in this way and consequently accepts no liability in that respect.

Any dispute relating to the use of the website www.liflor.nc is governed by French law as applicable in New Caledonia. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the courts of Nouméa shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
